Frank Nagle is Microsoft’s Chief AI Economist, based in the AI Economy Institute within Microsoft’s AI for Good Lab. Dr. Nagle’s decades-long career has spanned academia and the private and public sectors. His research explores how artificial intelligence is transforming firms, innovation, productivity, and labor markets, with a focus on how competitors can collaborate on the creation of core technologies while still competing on the products and services built on top of them. In addition to his current role as Microsoft’s Chief AI Economist, Dr. Nagle is currently a research scientist at the Initiative on the Digital Economy at MIT.
