About
I am a Senior Research Engineer on the AI for Science team at Microsoft Research, where I work on Materials Design.
I completed my PhD in Machine Learning in 2020 at the University of Genova. My doctoral research focused on resource-efficient large-scale kernel methods. Before joining Microsoft, I held research roles in both academia and industry, working on problems spanning causal inference, large-scale optimization, and ranking systems.
My research interests center on scalable and resource-efficient machine learning, particularly kernel methods, deep learning, multi-armed bandits, and Bayesian optimization.
